All you can do is move to somewhere with a signal in order to receive your text.

Will that be possible as the phone isn't set up yet?

I'm guessing the phone isn't activated if there's no mobile signal......?

I was assuming that the op had signal to call or text out so possibly phone customer service from a landline to activate the sim

@Stan171How long has the signal been non existent?

If this has been over a period of time, I would suggest (once you have managed to set up your phone) that you consider moving networks to one that gives you good coverage.

I certainly wouldnt be happy paying for a service I couldn't use fully. Smiley Frustrated

@Stan171 Did you check or test what the signal strength in your area was before you bought the phone?
