No Service on new upgrade

Anonymous
Not applicable
Wondering if anyone can help, I upgraded to iPhone 7 yesterday as an existing customer of o2. Since then I have been able to use my new phone, no problem. However today, it suddenly read 'No Service'. I went back to Carphone Warehouse and they said I needed to do a sim swap in o2 store, so I went to o2 and got a new sim. However it has been in my phone for 3 hours now and still reads 'No Service'. I understand it can take up to 24 hours but it never does normally which makes me think the same thing is happening again. Am I missing something else here? Any help greatly appreciated.

There's no reason to sim swap on an upgrade unless you need a different sized sim.
Did CPW give you a new sim with the phone?

It might also be worth you checking for any network issues here http://status.o2.co.uk/

Yes CPW gave me a new sim even though I was upgrading from a iPhone 5 and therefore the same size sim.

OK, so were you using the new sim or your original one?

So CPW must have transferred your account to the new sim?
I assume it was your number on the new sim?

Yes everything was moved over to my new sim, I kept the same number. I have tried turning it on and off again - no luck.
