A month ago my O2 phone / number stopped working. I just get No Service everywhere. I also have a Virgin Media SIM and this works perfectly in the same phone. I referred this to O2 support when I was out of the country and they said a) there is no coverage where you are b) its a roaming issue.
I am now back in the UK and in a major city and I still get No Service 100% of the time i.e. it never changes from No Service.
Any suggestions? Please don't ask me to reset the phone, select the network manually or change the APN. As this is what O2 support ask me to try every few days.

It's either SIM related or Account related it seems.
Maybe worth calling in to an O2 shop with ID and getting a new SIM to see if that works
