Hi there,

I currently have a pay monthly sim on my account which the contract has just ended.

I have purchased a cheaper new 12 month sim only contract which has been added to my account.

I want to cancel the sim that is now out of contract and move that number to the new sim only deal i have.

I have been on the phone several times today and i have not been able to get a straight answer with it on how i can do it.

Is it possible for me to cancel the sim that is now out of contract but move that number over to my new o2 sim? It has become very complicated discussing it on the phone and i'm worried that there will be a mistake made somewhere.

I have given up with the phone calls now, The last i was told on the phone was that i can't cancel my sim that is out of contract ( Which is obviously untrue )

I hope someone might be able to help / clarify this for me please.

You need to migrate your number.

It's quite simple really so I don't know why it's confusing to O2

Simply ask to migrate your number to the new contract and that will automatically cancel the original contract

No idea,

4 phone calls today about it and they kept putting me on hold to discuss it with someone and did not seem to know what to tell me. I don't know what else to do.

Nothing to do with different names at all.

Both are yours so just ask for a migration.

Try social media.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
