Of the phones mentioned obviously none will have the specs of the S4 but honestly, I would read the reviews of the phones and then go to an independent such as CPW where they have a vast range of phones on display just to get a feel and look at them.

We all have different expectations and usage of mobile phones and really it depends exactly what you want to use it for. We always advise the best option is to go into stores and have a look and feel of your shortlist before deciding.
All the phones mentioned have their merits. What phone are you using now?

My other half's sister just got the Xperia M on O2 PAYG which I think cost her £100. I had a bit of a play while setting it up for her and it seemed ok
