I am currently on a pay monthly sim plan.
I would like a new handset as my old one has seen better days
Is it possible to add a handset to a sim only plan?

@Jm4 Just buy a sim free phone and put your sim in. If you need a different size sim for your new phone, pop into an O2 store and they'll swap it for you for free.

Yes you can @Jm4

After 3 months on a simo plan you can upgrade to a full contract.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You can't just add a handset to an existing sim only plan. However as long as your payments have been on time and up to date you can take out a new Refresh contract without further credit  checks. Minimum period is three months on a sim only contract.
