I recently switched from EE to O2. Used the PAC from EE to port old number to O2. Got texts from O2 confirming with date. 'My O2' online account shows that my old number has indeed switched across but my new phone is still identified by the temporary O2 number. Any ideas what's happening? It's been 2 days since it was supposed to complete, new phone has been rebooted multiple times.

You will need to go into the phone settings and change My Number to your correct number. It will have the temporary number of the sim there.

How to change the phone number on your iPhone: Change the number listed in Settings
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap My Number.
  4. Use the delete button to remove the old number.
  5. Use the keypad to enter the new number.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. Restart the iPhone.

Let us know how you get on.

@msmith

It could take a few days to update in My O2. However if concerned, give customer Services a call to update your account Guide: How to find help & contact O2

Yes, iphone on EE, moved to new iphone on O2.
My O2 shows the ported number from EE, completed on time as tyhe O2 confirmation text said it would, but the handset itself still showing the temporary O2 number.
