I've upgraded to a new phone & sim but it's not due for at least a week. Will my current sim be cut off at midnight tonight or will it still work until I activate my new 1?

No one here could know what O2 will do unfortunately.
Many have been cut off recently when ordering a new sim.
Best to contact O2 if that does happen.
