Hi I have a new phone and sim card. I have not long set my phone up but for some reason the sim card is not able to make phone calls

Was this a new contract or an upgrade.
If an upgrade then just use the old sim card that was in your previous phone, unless you have a 5G phone and want to use 5G then you need to do a simswap as per the information in the sim wallet, or follow this guide Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
If a new contract then, If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
