New phone activated

Sorry for this, it's a bit of a noob question:-

Does anyone know how long it takes to get my new phone activated?

I've been with O2 for ages, ordered my new iPhone 6 last week and it arrived yesterday.  I've put in the new micro-SIM but not getting any signal.  My old phone still has signal.

I'm keeping the same number, so just need to number associating with the new phone.

Any ideas on a timescale before I need to ring O2?

Thanks in advance

Hi

Complete the sim swap via http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

This moves your tariff and number from your old SIM card to the new one.

Can take from a few minutes to 24 hours approx.

The service will stop in your old SIM card first and then keep turning airplane mode on and off on your new iPhone.

Hi, fill in this form or just use your old sim if it fits the phone and has 4G.
