I'm new to O2. My account said I owed my first payment of £19 so i went ahead and paid it by debit card. Then on further inspection it turns out the direct debit option is set up and they will take payment by DD. It didn't say that on the first screen asking for payment. How do I stop the DD tsking the £19 this month given I have already just paid the first £19 monthly payment?

If you made the payment at least 5 working days before your direct debit is due then the direct debit will not be taken....under this then it may still be taken but if it does the best option is to contact your bank and request an indemnity claim on the direct debit and your bank will reverse the payment.

The indemnity claim is part of your direct debit guarantee.

Any overpayments will stay on your account as a credit to pay future bills, so nothing to worry about.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
