I’ve just received an esim and am setting up my new iPhone . I need to know if I should set it up using my current iPhone 10 or put the existing sim in my new iPhone 12 and set up the esim from there. Which method please? Many thanks!

The esim needs to be setup on your iPhone 12.

Thanks! Apologies for dumbness, but am I right that I need to set up the new iPhone 12 first and insert the old sim in it and then text o2 to start the sim swap process?

Hi there. I’ve followed the esim process, finished about an hour ago. No mobile signal yet. Does it really take 24 hours? And will the esim automatically keep my existing mobile number or do I have to ask 02 for help? Many thanks!!

Keep rebooting your phone.

Around 4 hours is average.

As long as you ordered to eSim on your account and did the sim swap correctly, it will retain your original number.

Forgot to ask. Should I remove the physical sim now or when the esim is working? Many thanks!
