New card not up and running

Just not long received my new upgrade on my contract, got my new sim and it's In the the phone now and I am having an issue that its not active.

 

How come when I get new phone, the sim card isn't activated.

You need to use your old sim or do a sim swap to activate the new one Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
