Hi,
I have on the 5th October Purchased a New Samsung S23, which I was told was in stock.
I was sent the forms to sign, and I then got an email stating my order was received, keep an eye on the inbox for progress and delivery. This was timed at 16:25.
At 16:54 the same day, I get a 2nd email Headed We've got news on your order.
The 1st line stated -
Sorry to bring bad news, your order is out of stock. But we're on the case. We're doing everything we can to deliver your order (number: ms-224809613) as soon as possible.
I have now been waiting 9 days, surely it does not take this long to get a phone from the Store room, or am I being nieve, from the Manufacturer!!!! Samsung?

Really great news @Ruth_AB
In September I ordered a S23 Ultra directly from Samsung.
Was quite surprised to be offered a delivery date 2 weeks after the order.
In fairness to them, the phone arrived exactly on the date promised.
So obviously stock is low, even at Samsung.

Yes I got the buds in the same pack as the phone.
I didn't do a trade in as a family member wants my current device.
Very keen on upcycling in our extended family. 😊
It's also important to know that Samsung do credit if you can't afford to pay the full cost in one payment.

There are two good tips in that post :-
1. always consider buying direct from the manufacturer as it can be more straightforward.
2. as the main manufacturers now give five years of security updates, you probably don't need to upgrade too often - and if you do out of choice, your current handset can probably be used as a spare or gifted or sold within friends and family.

Very much so. That's one aspect of the "more straightforward". If there's a trade-in involved, you also get mailing labels etc for the return with your new handset.
I cannot get on with buds myself - keep falling out of my ears - but they do have significant value whether it is as gifts for family members or friends, or for resale on the secondhand market.
