Just bought the new iPhone and it's finally arrived. I've put the new SIM in the phone and followed the instructions.
The old SIM has been deactivated, but the new SIM is not active. Essentially leaving me without a working phone

Have you rebooted the phone with the new sim in it?
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
