Got a new phone from o2 last weekend. Arrived on Monday but the Sim has ‘no service’. My old number was supposed to be transferred last Tuesday but wasn’t. Eventually managed to speak to someone from o2 on Thursday who said it would all be resolved on Saturday (yesterday). Surprise surprise it has not been and new sim still ’no service’. MyO2 app doesn’t work and I can’t log into it so having to phone them from my old line.

What a shambles. Next step will be to cancel the new o2 contract and go elsewhere 😡

@Angrynewuser

Looks like you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

Is this a new contract and you are moving from another provider @Angrynewuser ?

If yes, the new phone MIGHT have a shipping bar on it to try and prevent it going missing on the way to you.

To remove it you will need to contact o2 customer services.

If this phone is an upgrade from an old/existing o2 account then the new tariff will be on the old sim and the new one is only if the old doesn't fit and/or you need 5G. If you do, then follow the sim swap instructions on the card it came with or follow this guide:

Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

Spoke to o2 customer service on Sunday. They said my new contract was blocked due to a fraud flag? Told I’d get a call within 48hrs. Still not heard from them.

Need this fixed as my current contract runs out in 3 days and I need the number transferred. Thinking I’ll need to get a Vodafone contract and cancel the o2 one.
