New SIM Only Deal

If I go for a SIM only deal do I have to give the model of my replacement phone before ordering the SIM?

If you upgrade online here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/sim-only-deals#deviceType=phone&contractLength=P12M  they don't ask for any info about your phone (unless they ask if it's an iphone)
