Just recently came out of contract and was asked if I wanted to upgrade. So I discussed with O2 a new iPhone 14 pro max in black (256GB) with no upfront cost and 150 GB of data, unlimited minutes, and unlimited texts per month. This came in at £61.25, so decided to go for it. However, a friend told me to check with Virgin Media as it runs on the O2 network, so I did.

Virgin offering

New iPhone 14 pro max in black (256GB) with no upfront cost,

O2 network so free EU roaming,

100 GB of data,

Unlimited minutes, and

Unlimited texts per month.

This came in at £52.25 and would give a further £1 off if I went for the deal.

Went back to O2 and asked if they would match the deal......the answer was no!

@Nick50w Virgin runs on the O2 network but it is not O2 (even though they have merged 👀), much like Tesco runs their network on O2 but it is not O2 and you will get different and varied deals. As Virgin and O2 merged you'd think they would be much closer on the mobile deals, but hey ho.

If you are within your cooling off period, if you have one via upgrade and it means enough then you could look to cancel and and go with Virgin.

Phone: Motorola G100, 128GB, Android 12, SIMO 20Gb
Broadband: Virgin 350Mb, Tp-Link Router - Deco S4
