I have just upgraded and changed my 02 contract to a sim only. At the moment I have an iPhone 5, but hope to buy an iPhone 6 in a couple of months. When I receive my 4G sim should I install it in my 5 or wait? Also, if I install it in my current phone, does it have to be activated?

Hi

As both take nano sims you'll be able to use your current sim. Is it a 4g one.

It'll say 4g on it.

If not then perform the swapmysim to move your tariff and mobile number from the old nano sim to the new one via http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk when you receive it in the post.

Just set it up in the 5 then it'll be ready to go when you get the 6.....

One last question - do I activate new sim before I exhange it with my old sim, or do I put it straight into iphone and then activate it?

You need to start with your old sim as the process will send you a text. Once you have received the text and entered the code on line you can swap sim cards over.
