I have a new, unlocked iPhone. I have inserted the sim and applied any updates, but it is not connecting to your network. I cannot make or receive calls or texts. I have removed the sim and reinserted it.

Hi @Loisemma

Have a look at this and see if it helps.

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/network-coverage-and-international/self-help-guide-for-network-problems

Also text the word ACTIVE to 2020. Save the settings and reboot the phone. See if that helps?

Thank you for your reply. I have tried that and there are no reported issues. We have restarted the phone, removed the SIM card, applied updates, but it still won’t connect. It’s a new , unlocked phone.

@Loisemma

Check my edit about Texting  Active to 2020, save settings and then reboot the phone.

@Loisemma

Does the SIM card work in another phone?

where did you get the phone from and have you checked if IMEI is barred?

The phone was provided as a replacement as part of an insurance claim. It is unlocked. How do I check if the IMEI is barred?
