Need sim advice for elderly relative

Anonymous
Not applicable

Can anyone tell me what the best pay & go tariff for an elderly relative would be? No texts, no internet just calls, how often would a call need to be made to keep the sim active? she was on Vodafone but they cut her off even though she had over £15 credit just because she forgot to make a call every 3 months, can't seem to find this info on the website anywhere, maybe O2 isn't the best option? Would like to hear your opinions

Thanks

I don't think there's a tariff on any network that doesn't include texts, but if your relative has no intention of using them, and makes only a few calls, if you already have a phone they can use you would be better off getting a sim from GiffGaff. It runs on the O2 network, so if they get good coverage on O2, that would be the way to go. You can get one for a fiver a month and can set up an auto top up, so they won't have to remember to top up the card.

Try searching for "easy to use mobile" on Amazon or Google, there are loads out there.
