Need help on o2 travel info

Hey I am currently in Cyprus and noticed that this country is covered by you new o2 travel for pay monthly customers I wanted to know is this effective instantly or do I need to activate it somehow beforehand?

O2 travel is effective automatically from 1st July UNLESS you opt out.

 

Alternatively,you could choose our European rates...

If you choose to opt out of O2 Travel, you will be charged at the following rates when calling or texting from the country. You will also be charged the following rates for data usage. You can opt out of O2 Travel by calling customer services.

Making local calls to landlines and mobiles in the country you're visiting will always be the same price as calling back to the UK.

Sending a picture message anywhere in the world costs just 25p per message and it's always free to receive texts. Rates shown are stated in pence per minute and are inclusive of VAT.

Ok so If i connect to data roaming tomorrow it will automaticly put me on the 25 mb 1.99 plan? Thank you for your help, You have saved me worrying about racking up a silly bill whilst abraod!

I can't see how to pose a question, so I hope you can answer my related query:

I am currently visiting friends in Ohio. I was able to send sms to them from the UK but now I am in the US they are not getting my replies. Do I need to change a setting on my phone?

 

I am on simplicity pay monthly, rolloing contract and my phone is a W995.

to start your own threads select the correct section of the forum eg pay monthly then there will be a blue tab above the subject coloum that says new message just do that for this query as it will not be o2 travel related
