NEW PHONE, OLD NUMBER

Anonymous
Not applicable

I got a new phone from o2. (Microsoft Lumia 435). I took it to o2 shop to get my old number put onto my new phone and my contacts copied to my new phone. Now neither phone has a service. I was told I would be able to use old phone until my number was transfered to my new phone. Have I done something wrong and if so how do I correct it. Also only part of my contact list is in my new phone.

You need to keep rebooting the phone by turning it off and on. This transfer could take up to 24 hrs

The process involves turning the old sim off before the new sim can become active.
Sounds like your changeover has started, so it should now complete within a couple of hours.
For help with your contacts I need to know what your old phone was?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
