NEW CONTRACT AND NO CREDIT

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi there,

I recently returned back to the UK after several years out of the UK. I have only been back in the country a few months and need a contract phone. I visited a store today who advised all I need is a debit card linked to a UK account and ID. Is this correct? seems a bit too easy!

You'll need a bank account that will provide a direct debit for payments.

You will need to pass a credit check and make sure you're on the Electoral Roll.

If there's an issue with the check ask if you can take out a Pay Monthly Simplicity tariff on a 30 day basis and you should be able to update to a full contract after successful payments being received for a period.

You'll need to get a cheap handset to use at first on Simplicity.
