Hi people my existing contract ends today and I’ve already got a new contract through o2 through mobile phones direct but want to know if I have to cancel my existing contract first and then transfer the number over to new contract, can’t speak to anyone at o2 to get guidance and don’t want to pay 2 bills

@Dan17

You HAVE to speak to O2 otherwise you will be running two contracts. You should have UPGRADED instead of taking out a new contract. Whilst on the phone, ask O2 to migrate your old number to your new phone. All numbers for O2 are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Edited to add the following info

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.

Also, press Fraud or Lost and Stolen if given that option.

Hi @Dan17 , how are you?

I hope everything went ok with your new contract/upgrade. It would be great to hear back from you to know you're all sorted. slight_smile
