Hi,

My 3 month old Xperia 5 switched itself off during the night ad will not power back on.

I have charged it, plugged it into a pc and every variation on soft or hard boot with no luck.

I have tried to get in touch with o2 but can't get through to anyone, I just keep going round in circles.  There is nothing physically wrong with phone and feel like i'm now paying for a brick.

Please could someone advise how best to proceed?

Kind regards,

Luke

Imho, the request form on the site will get the fastest result, not only is Sony mobile support mid way through a switch to Sony electronics, but a large chunk of that staff are working from home.
The form will bring you a faster result 100%

Assuming you've tried the soft reset of holding volume up and power button for 10 seconds until you feel 3 vibrations, and it still wasn't successful, I would say you would need a repair.
If you cannot get hold of O2, you can go to Sony directly with the warranty repair request at:
https://services.sony.co.uk/supportmvc/en/Contact/Email?cat=mobile
Or call 02073652810
