My SIM card won’t work in another unlocked phone?

Hi, I’ve recently bought an unlocked iPhone 8 Plus as my currently phone is faulty. When changing my sim over to the new phone it doesn’t seem to be working? I’m on a pay monthly sim only?

My partner tried his Vodafone sim and another Giffgaff sim in the new phone and they seem to be working fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

You probably need to contact customer services and ask them to enable iData on your account/or you need a new sim Guide: How to find help & contact O2

When you say it isn't working, what do you mean?
Do you get an error message like sim not provisioned, or enter sim unlock code?
Or can you just not use data or make calls?

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

@Rs5

It must be unlocked as the Vodafone SIM works, so more info needed as requested please.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
