Multiple Texts Off 84222 number just now?

I have received multiple text messages off a 84222 number that states it is a Friday lockdown offer. The usual text STOP to unsubscribe or visit link for whatever. I’ve not replied to it, I’ve just blocked the number via my phone, but will I be charged for even receiving the texts?? Thanks in advance 🙂

I got this last night too, multiple texts from this number I ignored but then had a text from o2 this morning saying I’ve spent £121!!!!
I’m going round in circles trying to contact o2 to report so would love to hear from someone that has managed to find out how we don’t get charged for this fraud. Thanks.

Just off phone to O2 and they are going to call me back. 27 texts messages within a couple of minutes before I managed to block number. Phone bill arrived this morning having been charged £1 for each of them!

This issue needs escalating to a higher authority within O2.

There are a lot of customers effected by this scan and it needs stopping immediately thumbsup
