I want to move my SIM to a new Samsung handset (already purchased). I want to keep my apps and content (photos etc.). I think there is an easy way to do this. Can you point me to the instructions, please?

Without doubt you need to use Smart Switch @Witti

And this one, @Witti - https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-Feedback/How-to-Transfer-Apps-to-a-New-Android-Device/m-p/...

Also if you use WhatsApp, be sure to have backup enabled in that app specifically, and do a manual backup of messages just before cutting-over to new phone - many's a one has lost all or some of their WhatsApp messages because of that slip 😖

Good luck!

Many thanks for your help. It's taken a while to get the phone to the same position as my old one but I'm more or less there now. Even though all the apps and data could be migrated fairly easily all the apps have required me to sign in again and re-set permissions and some other settings. I'm glad that I don't have to do this very often.
