Yes your daughter can switch to PAYG and keep her number

She will need to remember this part though
If you're on O2 Refresh you can only move to Pay As You Go once your Device Plan is paid. If you're not on O2 Refresh but still in your contract minimum term, you may need to pay a termination charge.
14 days after you move to Pay As You Go you will receive your final Pay Monthly bill. Any outstanding balance will need to be settled.
To keep the PAYG number active she will need to make a chargeable call or text once every 6 months.

No she will have a new sim card as contract and PAYG are different.
The contact methods I posted above,(in the link about switching) Basically she needs to call 202 and they will sort it for you
