What happens if you move from O2 PAYG to O2 Pay Monthly?

What needs to be done (apart from getting a new sim)?

I would want to keep my old number.

Also, what happens to my PAYG credit? I have almost £30 in credit - would I have to use that up before I switch to Pay Monthly or could it transferred and used as part of my monthly bill?
