I have seen a cheap deal on a new phone on the internet still with O2 that is cheaper than any of my upgrade options. Can I start this new contract with the intention to cancel my current contract tract when it expires in a couple of months. Pro’s and con’s?

Yes you can.

You can also transfer your number when your current contract expires.

The only con is that you'll be paying for two contracts a short while.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Yes you can do that. It will mean you have two contracts running until your old one is paid off though.

If you are happy to do that then go for it. Be aware though, a new contract will require credit checks.

An Upgrade wont.
