Monthly contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have always used o2 but as a £10 a month pay as you go, which suited me as I don't use the phone much. I was contacted by o2 2 months ago and was told I could do pay as you go on a monthly basis and the first 6 months it would be £7 a month, I decided that it seemed ok so I would do it. Apparently I have entered into a 12 month contract,  bunch of conning robbing bast Ards never told me that and month 2 my bill is now £10.69?? I don't know how I have been given a contract as that involves a credit check and I am bankrupt? ? Also I think they should have explained things more clearly to me , I was told by paying monthly in the bank it would be easier but it was still pay as you go, this is not correct as I have ended up with a contract. I suffer from mental health problems and I am schizophrenic, I also have some learning difficulties,  this company has completely taken advantage of me and I am going to do something about it. It is not just me, the shop in plymouth conned my severely autistic son into buying a ipad with a monthly tariff (at the age of 18) that he could not afford, on credit, he is now struggling to eat and pay for the homeless shelter he lives in for vulnerable adults and has to use his disability income to pay these robbing charlatans,  I intend to take this matter further we should not have big companies preying on the vulnerable and disabled people in this society.  Shame on you o2, I will find a way to complain and I will NEVER use your company again, even though I have been with you for over 10 years. Disgrace to your name.

@Anonymous  Use this link if you want to lodge a complaint: http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

Do not attempt to cancel any contract you may have. It would have a negative effect on your credit rating. Complain by all means, and when your contract is up, give notice and move to another network. Here is a guide to canceling your contract when the time comes: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/highlight/true#M56526
