My contract is about to end in the fall of this year and I'm wondering how O2 works out their "Pay monthly" scheme when it comes to the break down of tariff/phone finance.
I got a Samsung s10+ with my last contract and I'm assuming that a £40 / month cost isn't attributed to the tariff alone, so will this £40 / month cost potentially go much lower once the finance on the phone is paid off?

If you bought the phone directly with O2 on a Refresh contract then you would have 2 direct debits.
The DD for the phone would be stopped once the phone is paid for
If you bought through a third party such as CPW or Mobiles Direct then you would continue to pay the full amount you pay now
The best option then would be to take out a sim only @SaraD1
