So last Tuesday I decided to get new contract with O2. Before this I use life help and spoke to customer service and I have been instructed to send message to my current network provider to get STAC CODE.
After I submitted all the forms including the STAC CODE for transfer my number to O2 my Old number stop working next day.
I phone O2 customer service asking why it’s taking such a long time to transfer my number over, and I’ve been told to give another 24h as because of current situation can take longer.
Today I just find out that because O2 try to use the STAC code my mobile has been lost and I should submit PAC CODE which there is no way I can get from my old network as O2 took the number over.
I had this number for the past 10years
I’m NHS worker working in hospital every day and I’m already stressed and this situation make me cry all day loosing my number which I had for so many years.
I can’t get any more threw customer service and I feel I stuck right now.
Can any one help me please

@Important We are all customers here. No access to anyone's account. You'll have to speak to customer service but it's difficult to get through.

I will also tag our community admin to see if there's anything they might be able to do. @Martin-O2@Marjo@LukasB any help?

Your big error was using a STAC when you should have used a PAC.

A STAC means you don't want to keep your number and using this code leads to that number being disconnected by your previous network

O2 quite correctly issued you with a new number

WHether your original number can be retrieved is down to co-operation between the two networks

Call O2 first thing in the morning.

Blame the other network. You GAVE the STAC to them so they carried out your instructions @Important
