Hi I’ve repaired my Apple Watch to my iPhone XS Max it’s up an running but when I come to set my mobile data back up it’s saying Oops, something went wrong. Try again and if the problem continues call 202 for free from your O2 mobile, quoting reference code 49

Hi @Ste_93

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

I’ve been told today that reference code 49 means that the Apple Watch Airtime Plan is still active under the previous owner of the Watch. I’m having the same issue. I bought my Cellular Series 6 off ebay. It was unpaired and had no connection to the previous owner’s Apple ID, so when I got it, it set up fine. I just can’t connect it to a cellular plan. O2 have said they can’t end the existing plan, as it has to be done by the account holder. The guy I bought the Watch from insists that it was all done and unpaired. I’ve got nowhere to go and it’s most frustrating. Clearly the previous owner doesn’t need the Airtime plan which is locked to the IMEI of my Watch. I must have spent at least 10 hours trying to resolve this with O2. So frustrating as you get passed from pillar to post for 45 minutes before you get through to anyone who can even be bothered to try helping.
