Are O2 considering offering data rollover on mobile phone contracts? The data has been paid for so why should customers lose it because it’s not used.

Data on the base tariff resets every month.
Only Sky offer roll over data with some T&C's attached.

Yes the Sky advert which starred the wonderful Tom Hardy.
Mind you I thought Virgin also offered it according to this article https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/guides/what-is-data-rollover-and-which-networks-offer-it/
"Virgin Media automatically rolls over any unused data at the end of the month, so you can use it the following month for no additional charge"

It appears other networks are becoming quite innovative...

I suppose it all depends on your data lifestyle. I don't work much now...and the bit I do can be completed at home with WiFi...When travelling with friends in the UK, I use mobile data. The only stuff I stream is done over WiFi and on the rare occasion I use my tablet when not at home I use a data sim which gives me 12 months use....(that helped a lot when I was in hospital a few months back) ....So I am pretty well sorted. My new simo only has 2GB data and I never use a quarter of that...Lucky me...
