Just been in France using my o2 sim in my Samsung A3 no issues, data roaming working fine, maps etc working fine. Swapped sim into new IPhone13 mini (birthday present) Data Roaming stops working, maps etc stop working. Google search found suggestion of changing APN setting from idata.o2.co.uk to mobile.o2.co.uk. this seemed to resolve the issue in France, but back in the UK I have changed it back to idata.o2.co.uk as the suggestion was mobile data wouldn't work if i didn't. Have spent hours trying to get hole of an O2 agent but automate system cuts me off when it thinks its answered my question. Grr! 1) why does data roaming stop by switching sim to IPhone?, 2) What are the correct settings for data roaming us in both UK and Europe?, 3) is there a way of getting configuration settings automatically sent to the phone on O2. Sorry for all the questions but frustrated that I cant properly use my new birthday present!

@Xanthe

You need to get the iData bolt on added to your account

You can then use the apn "iData.o2.co.uk" everywhere you go.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Thanks

Many thanks for the prompt response. Do you know if this is an 'additional cost' bolt on or just some kind of 'enabler'. Thanks again

It's free but required for correct iPhone function.

You will also get visual voicemail when it's enabled.
