Mms messages increased from 17p to 33p

Anyone else noticed that their mms messages have increased by almost double since February? Called O2 Monday to try and work out why my bills had suddenly increased over last 2 months, not a mention of the mms increase.

With vat your looking at 40p.

25p to Payg.

Much cheaper using apps such as what's app , viber but these need to be used by the recipient and even e mail.

Hello Alyh and welcome to the Community.

O2 announced back in February that prices were rising including monthly line rental for contract customers (2.7%), MMS to 40p Inc vat for contract customers and various increases to international call charges. This was well publicised both on the o2 website and in the press. You should also have had an email or letter advising you.

In a word no, mms have never been that price for many years can you link to the facts please showing previous cost and new cost

Definately no email or letter, as I said spoke to a young lady on Monday and despite my call being in reference to increased bills no mention was made in the call of the increase to mms, only noticed just now as I was trawling through my bills. Almost DOUBLE the cost?!! Didn't even get a 'well let's see if we can make things cheaper for you' type of conversation. Call was a complete waste of time. I've had 2 mobiles with you on contract since 1997, a loyal customer and deserve better transparency! I just took a look at the EE website, you need to up your game!

As we are all customers like you we can only listen and sympathise.

As I said their are alternatives to using mms or curb the way you send text so they don't convert to mms.

Thanks Piper dog, you haven't mentioned the increase in Voice calls from 35p a minute to 40p a minute with a one-minute minimum charge which I've just found out about also.
