Hello, i have a samsung S7 edge with unlimited calls and texts.

Randomly i do not receive text messages and calls. My girlfriend can be texting me throughout the day and i'll only receive half of the texts, its also the same with sent texts, it doen't happen often maybe a few times a month, sometimes they'll come through days later sometimes never.

Sometimes when she tries to call me it never rings it just cuts her off instantly and i get nothing to say shes tried to call, its not just her either its happened to several other people.

Its just happened again and i had 3 bars of signal but she couldn't ring my phone, but she could ring me through whatsapp.

Any ideas whats happening?

Cheers

Usually network congestion or because of maintenance on the network.
Issues can be checked for here http://status.o2.co.uk/
But, I would also be inclined to get a free new sim from your local o2 shop, just to rule out any sim card issues too.

Thanks for the link:

Sorry a phone mast close to you isn't working

This means you might experience problems making calls, using the internet, or sending/receiving emails.

That would explain this time but not the others, maybe i'll try a new sim card.

Cheers

It's possible that you've had an intermittent mast problem for a while, but a new sim won't hurt anything for sure.

@monkeyman See this link if you want to swap your sim.

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Sim-Swap-a-mini-guide-2017-update/ba-p/1060675

Going in store, if you have one nearby, is the easiest and quickest way to do it.
