Mis sold contract

Hi,

I recently went into an o2 store to purchase a contract for my sisters 11th Birthday. I work for an insurance company and can get 30% discount on the bill so was looking to spend £15ish a month.

After looking at was was available for the price I decided on a HTC Desire C. 200 any network mins, unlimited 02 to 02 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb was advertised as included all for just £15.50 a month. The store advisor gave me a micro sim as he said that's what it needed. However, when I took it home to set up it needed a normal sim. I was told to come back into store to get an adapter. Bit annoying but never mind.

The same day I decided to look online to check the price was the same and I noticed that if you changed your mind within 14 days you could "swap" the phone. So for the same price I could have got the HTC One V which was better spec so I went in 2 days later to swap it. I was then given an adapter AND a new sized sim. The advisor got the micro sim stuck in the phone and it took me ages to get it out. Again, annoying seeing as they gave me a normal sim too which I had to mess around trying to get it activated and cancelling the other one.

Called o2 last night to check the discount was applied to the bill as I was told it would cost more the first month as the disount cant be applied to the 1st month and that any extra I paid would be reimbursed the following month. However, the agent I spoke too on the phone told me they don't do inclusive tariffs with Internet and it would be an extra £5 a month and that the 30% discount would only be applied to the £15.50 minutes and texts. I was obviously mis sold this in many ways. I have been told to go back into store and speak to the manager. Has anyone had any experience like this, if so what were the solutions?

Thanks

It's called a Bonus Tariff and it shows here with either of the phones you chose:

I suspect the advisor you spoke to wasn't aware of it, ring again and hopefully you'll get through to one who is.

Click the £21.50 tariff and scroll down and you will see it.

Edited link.

Re: Mis sold contract

It would be this one http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pay_monthly/init/Medium/HTC/One_V

but it was £15.50 rather that the £21.50 it shows here including the internet and not a bolt on.

Sorry stupid web site is messing with the links, try this and click "View" at the 200 minutes, £21.50 tariff, then scroll down to see the Bonus Tariff.

You have to set "Data usage" to Medium to see it.

There doesn't seem to be a direct link to the "Bonus" tariffs, so they may only be available via sales.

I'm hoping this will give you something to point CS to, to show the tariff you're after.

This is what you should be seeing:

It's not clear whether the price shown is before or after the Bonus has been applied.
