Decided to migrate my contract to payg for a while. The contract was disconnected at 8am this morning but my number has still (5pm) not been migrated across.
Phoned CS and told to wait to 6pm. However, I have a feeling this one has really been screwed up.
Sincerely hope I don't loose the old number which has been with me now for over 10 years. In the meanwhile everyone who phones me is left with a message to say the number cant be recognised.

Oh dear, I went to o2 from T-mobile. But mine happened overnight, so no idea how long it took. Went off around 9-10pm and was back up and running the next morning.
Hope you get sorted soon.

Migrating your number takes up to 24 hours. Remember to turn your phone on and off periodically, to log the SIM back onto network.

Keep doing that. Migration has never taken that long for me before.

In my experience it took 5 hours, however, I understand that on occasion there is a "backlog" and it can take the full 24 hours. People have reported that if the phone Customer Service, sometimes it can be pushed through.
