Firstly can someone tell how do you get to read the messages that my hot spot box says I have please.

And secondly when did the tariff charge go up and why wasn't I informed of this.

Your tariff is increased by rpi in April every year. Emails and texts were sent out in February to everyone https://www.o2.co.uk/prices
In order to read your texts you need to login to your dongle management page by putting the dongle in your laptop and connecting to the home page http://www.o2.co.uk/assets2/Kana/pdf/O2_MBB_Huawei_Generic_Guide_AW2.pdf
