Every time i send a text message i get 'message failed to send' unless its through i message.

Sounds like the phone is not connected to a network, or the message settings are not correct @cath1416

Can you make calls or use mobile data? If no, then there is an issue with the network connection which could either be the SIM or the phone.

If yes, then it is a message settings issue.
