Having done a quick search of the forum there is another topic about this, but the situation is slightly different so thought it deserved a new topic...
Today I have received 2 messages from o2 (when pressing and holding on the message it comes up as from o2UK - see below).
This takes the total to 4 in the last 2 weeks.
My question is this - is this a legitimate message from o2? Should I trust it or just delete it without downloaded?

Thanks for confirming what I thought.
Did wonder if it was priority related given I have joined that, but with the issues around availability was not actively trying to get anything.
Messages being sent to bin as we speak...

question for @Toby then - do o2 send out MMS to customers, and if not is there a number to report the messages to for fraud?

Why is the Subject line blank and everything else filled in? Has scam written all over it.
@gmarkj you can report it here: http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

1) type (phishing or malware)
2)what did you get - text, email, etc
3)who was it supposed to be from - type of company rather than name
4)what were you meant to do - open, reply, download
Would have imagined they would ask for more than that to try and trace it and prevent further attempts...
