MMS charges

Having recently gone back to android ( note 8), my sole frustration is being charged for messaging pictures or even receiving them . I tried using Facebook messenger to do this as well as the Samsung message app, same result , 0.41p per picture ! Anyone got a good android solution ?

We have a guide here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Accidental-MMS-Sending-and-How-to-Avoid-it... but WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, BBM is free to send and receive pics.
You are only charged to send an MMS.

You won't get charged for receiving them and I only use email, WhatsApp or Line to send pictures.
