You just need to call customer service and they will post a new one out to you. They will block your lost sim and send you out a new one with your existing number.

It's important you get the sim cancelled as soon as possible so you aren't liable for charges. You can call them 24/7 just stay on the line until you get the lost/stolen option.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

So short-staffed there is no one to process the forms?....Good Idea to take away an emergency contingency!

And so many reasons why it could all go wrong. O2 make a presumption now that if you have lost or had your phone stolen after 11pm....

1) you have access to another phone to report it lost

2) If not you can simply call them at 8am the following morning.

My son starts work at 6am and mobile phones aren't allowed in the workplace so he couldn't borrow one

Some people go away on holiday catching a flight at silly o clock flying to god knows where ...how are they going to call in within 24hrs. Buy another phone?

3) In the case of the other poster...had just arrived in the country, bought a phone and lost it.

I just don't think O2 have thought about the implications of this...
