So I lost my phone yesterday, it is fully insured etc but in order to make a claim I must provide a police reference number however my local police station is telling me they don't deal with lost phones anymore and I need to contact my provider? I would appreciate any help on this matter as I'm kind of at a loss as with what to do and the O2 online chat appears to no longer be on the website

Hi,

Do you have insurance on your device? If so use this link to email the insurance form

INSURANCE CLAIM FORM
You normally have to ring O2 Customer services however your best bet would be to print out a claims form and email it across. form link is https://www.o2.co.uk/sites/default/files/2017-04/o2insurance_claimform.pdf

@MarshallmkYou don't need a reference number! Read the guide and follow the instructions please.

The police no longer deal with lost and stolen phones.
