So I lost my phone yesterday, it is fully insured etc but in order to make a claim I must provide a police reference number however my local police station is telling me they don't deal with lost phones anymore and I need to contact my provider? I would appreciate any help on this matter as I'm kind of at a loss as with what to do and the O2 online chat appears to no longer be on the website

If your old sim card is still connected the process hasn't started so use that if it's the same size
If not you need to keep rebooting the phone with the new sim
