Lost phone - can I just get a new sim with my old number on it

Hi there, 

I recently lost my Iphone 14 pro and I was wondering if it is easy enough to just request a new sim with my old number on it that I can put into a phone until I get a new one. The only thing is I cant get logged into My O2 as it is asking to send me a code to my phone I currently don't have access to, so how would I go about this

You need to report it lost or stolen to o2 Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it 

And the quickest way is to pop into an o2 store with Photo ID, and they can issue you a new SIM card with your old number on it.., or you will need o2 to send you one and that will take upto 7 working days
